An update for our community

Due to the national outbreak, the University of Maryland has reduced campus operations through the summer. As a result, the David C. Driskell Center Gallery is closed and all events have been canceled.

The Driskell Center Office is closed and all staff are currently telecommuting; responses to voicemails may be delayed. The most effective way to reach the Driskell Center is through email. Visit our Contact page for more contact information.

We recognize that closing Romare Bearden: Artist as Activist & Visionary was disappointing for a lot of our community who did not get to visit. Because of this, we have developed a virtual gallery to share the exhibition with our community. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Driskell Center has tentatively created a schedule for the 2020-2021 academic year, but will adapt events as needed in response to state and campus regulations.

Please continue to check website for the most up to date information.
