Selected from the David C. Driskell Center collection is a group of 31 drawings, prints, and paintings of trees, created by Driskell over the years; many of which he created in Maine or while traveling in Europe during the 1960s.

The works were selected by Dorit Yaron, the David C. Driskell Center's Deputy Director, in honor and memory of David C. Driskell who passed away on April 1, 2020.  

I gravitated toward the pine tree because the pine trees don’t talk back, they’re just trees waving in the wind.
