David C. Driskell Center for the Visual Arts and Culture of African Americans and the African Diaspora
The mixed-media artist will discuss her artistic process and inspiration for her body of work which encompasses photography, performance, video, and installation. The lecture is a collaboration between the Driskell Center and the Department of Art -- as part of the Claudia DeMonte Lecture Series which highlights the contribution of women and people of color to the arts-- and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, in conjunction with its exhibition 30 Americans.
