Based in New York, Rashid Johnson works in a variety of media, including photography, sculpture, painting, drawing and printmaking. He is the 2012 winner of the David C. Driskell Prize, awarded by the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia. This lecture is a collaboration between the Driskell Center and the Department of Art as part of the Claudia DeMonte Lecture Series, which highlights women and minorities in the visual arts.
