Andrea Barnwell Brownlee is an art historian, curator, writer, the Director of the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art in Atlanta, GA, and the recipient of the High Museum of Art’s 2013 David C. Driskell Prize in African American Art and Art History. Dr. Brownlee earned her Ph.D. in Art History from Duke University in 2001.
